After reinstalling Origin, I discovered that this is a Visual C++ issue. If you are playing Origin, Uplay, Steam or XboxLive Games, you are going to have a lot of C++ show up in your programs list (see control panel - Addremove program). I copied the offending files from the windowssystem32 directory and put them all over, including the origin directory and the error went away but I got a new error, a failed to start correctly error 0xc000007b error.

Looks like your computer is running a operating system we no longer support, but you can still download and play your games using an older version of Origin. For Windows XP or Vista, click here to download. For Mac OSX 10.7 or 10.8, click here to download. I had this problem as well on my machine at work. Try doing the following it worked and allowed me to download the.Net Framework 3.5 on my Windows 10 PC: Go into RegEdit and set the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Policies Microsoft Windows WindowsUpdate AU folder.
Download the .rar (windows apps has a free app to unpack it) find the files you've unpacked and jot down their names and then BACK UP THE ORIGINALS. Copy them out of the Windowssystem32 directory and the WindowssysWOW64 directory to a backup folder on your desktop just in case.
Download Origin App Windows 10
Then put the unpacked files in the directories and (some won't copy) it should work.
